Q: I have a 2002 honda civic for sale in dublin where should i advertise?
Its in perfect condition low mileage is anyone interested??
In Dublin 18 so southside of city near to dun laoghaire, it is a lovely car almost nrand new really and still under garage warantee only 29kmls with 18′alloys cd, alarm etc etc sad to see it go

A: In dublin or the surrounding area.

Q: Will a 2003 Honda civic fit in a 2002 Honda civic?
I am just wondering B/c i like the 2003 cluster more then the 2002 cluster. But there is a nice 2002 foe sale down the road for a good price and i wanted to know if you could change the cluster.

A: most likely not. it’s not just a display, it’s a computer module. where would you get a 2003 from? they’re not cheap.

Q: Where can I find a cheap hubcap for a 2002 Honda Civic in the Toronto area?
I lost one hubcap on my 2002 Honda Civic. I don’t want to pay $50 for a new one from the dealership. Where can I find used hubcaps for sale? (I need a grey 15″ 7-Spoke hubcap)

A: any auto place.
downtown would be a good place 2 start if u live near there.

Q: What is the best deal for Extended auto warranty for 90-100k used 2002 Honda Civic and the price I can expect?
Is it cheaper and effective to get warranty through dealer? or online sites, like http://www.warrantydirect.com/. If I bought the vehicle from individual sales (not through dealer) then will it still be cheaper and effective to get warranty through them?

I know that most warranty won’t cover vehicle that has got milage beyond 100k.

A: There are so many ways to go with extended warranties that it is really your decision…benefits offered and prices vary all up and down the scale, so it would be best for you to look at as many as you “want” to, and compare the coverages/restrictions vs. prices…

You might try searching for a warranty comparison site too, I think they are out there in the ether world…

And yes, there are warranties over 100,000 miles, you just have to find them…

Q: When you are in the market for a car loan, Do you include sales tax, titile, and registration?
I’m looking to purchase a used car, around the year of 2002 Honda Civic for example. Will I search for a loan that includes the priced car, sales tax, title, and registration. Or do I pay does fees separate/ out of the pocket from the price of the car.
Oh, I’m in Phoenix, Az if that helps.

A: You should include all fees

Q: I need advice from a professional car sale person?
I am selling a 2002 hyundai with 150k miles with clean interior andd I want to trade it in for a 2000 honda civic with 170k miles. What should I say to the one selling the car, so he agrees to trade. I need to say something that will make that person agree.

A: Your car is two years newer and has 20k less miles on it. Drive home those points. You might book them out on the internet to see how they compare in price. If your car is worth more, bring that point up too. If not, avoid that issue.

Q: How to test if the transmission of the car is working without test driving it to the highway?
Is it possible for a mechanic to check if the transmission is working properly without test driving on a highway.

The reason im asking this is because I am looking at a used 2002 honda civic ex coupe. The seller take the plate off and put it on his new car. So theres no way to drive it on a highway or to a mechanic shop. Only thing i can do is bring a mechanic to check the car out.

The carfax report for the car is clean, but

http://www.carfax.com/car_safety/ratings/SRR.cfm/year/2002/make/HONDA/model/CIVIC/trim_id/2002HONDCPFCIVIC_EX

Transmission & Driveline An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the second gear clutch in the Automatic Transmission. This may cause the Automatic Transmission to slip, and the Check Engine Light to illuminate. Also, when the Automatic Transmission is rebuilt or replaced, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software needs to be updated. The cost to replace the Automatic Transmission is estimated at $1800 for a remanufactured Automatic Transmission and $318.50 for labor. The cost to update the PCM is estimated at $65 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.

Im afriad if the car has this problem. Is there any way to check to make sure the car is good?

Thank you.

A: look for another civic

Good luck!

i want to get a used car under $10,000. i love the volkswagen cabrios but there aren’t that many for sale since they date back to 2002. i really don’t want a honda civic because everyone has one (i like to be different lol). i want a cute sporty looking car (not too sporty).. maybe a pontiac? what kind of pontiacs though? help.. any more suggestions?

A: Pontiac Vibe / Toyota Matrix

have the same internals, Pontiac sells for much less.

avoid used VW’s

Q: I banged up my car’s doors, what should I do?
It’s a black 2002 Acura 1.7 EL (A Honda Civic in a tuxedo for your Americans, as it’s a Canada only model)

155 km on it

No fundamental mechanical problems, and runs beatuifully, gets great mileage (35 mpg)

the car has a resale value of approx. 9-11k

i bought it for 12.5k in 2006. paid in full.

I just scraped/dented up the doors on the rear and front passenger’s side of the car while driving out of an underground parking lot and trying to avoid a truck that was coming down an on-ramp. my dumb.

anyways, here are my options:

a) get it fixed on the low for a $1000

b) go through my insurance (i have a $1000 deductible) and get it fixed nicely, new panels everything…

c) sell the car and take it out of the re-sale value, and buy another car (i can afford it, and im only willing to pay in full)

d) keep driving til the wheels fall off and try to ignore the constant ugly reminder of my mistake

What would you do?

it’s not just a scratch..

it’s a dent on the front passenger door

dent on the rear passenger door

and a dent on the rear panel

and a nice white scratch all the way through, lol
a bodyshop was like if i go through insurance, their quote was nearly $3000

A: Things like that would annoy me. If your insurance rates wont go up go through them if not find a good body shop and see if its worth it compared to blue book value to do it. If not then sell it. but id try to get it fixed.
