Q: Best place to buy 2002 Honda Civic SI OEM fenders NOT from the dealership?
I just need a drivers side fender because I kinda hit a tree. No way I’m going through a dealership for one because they just jack the price up. It doesn’t even have to be a real Honda one. As long as it’s for the 2002 Honda Civic SI
We don’t have public junkyards around here. You have to have a permit to deal with cars or fix them or whatever in order to go into a place where you pull your parts. So, that’s out of the question. Already tried.
A: salvage yard or dealer that is your options or search for it online
Q: What are the best speakers to buy for a 2002 Honda Civic coupe?
When I bought the car, the stereo was replaced but I would like to replace the factory speakers with after market ones.
A: If you are going with mid range speakers for the doors and back then go with pionner or alpine,if you are going with subs then go with Kicker Comp subs.
Q: would you rather buy 2002 honda civic for 5 grand or 2005 honda civic for 6 grand? (mileage same)?
A: Probably the 2005 honda civic because it is newer and only $1000 more!
Q: What would you pay for buying a 2002 Honda Civic EX 4-door sedan?
What would you pay for buying a 2002 Honda Civic EX 4-door sedan, 67,000 miles, single owner, well-maintained, one scratch on side of passenger door, Automatic transmission, FWD, power steering/windows/locks, keyless entry, CD player, cruise control, ABS, sun roof, front and side airbags, alarm system, snow tires with alloy wheels from a private seller? Or where would you start the negotiating price?
The seller is asking $10k for the vechile.
A: Wholesale reports
You would probably pay $1800 to $2000 above wholesale.. Hope this helps

Q: What would you pay for buying a 2002 Honda Civic EX 4-door sedan?
What would you pay for buying a 2002 Honda Civic EX 4-door sedan, 67,000 miles, single owner, well-maintained, one scratch on side of passenger door, Automatic transmission, FWD, power steering/windows/locks, keyless entry, CD player, cruise control, ABS, sun roof, front and side airbags, alarm system, snow tires with alloy wheels from a private buyer? Or where would you start the negotiating price?
The seller is asking $10,000 for the vechile.
A: well if you look on the kelly blue book site, the prices would go as follows:
Excellent
$10,870
Good
$10,155
Fair
$9,220
So take a look at the condition of it and see what it falls under. Im assuming from what you say it probably falls into either excellent or at least good. I would say start at $8500 at go up. I wouldn’t go over the kelly blue book price though. Get a carfax report if you can too, make sure its got non accidents or anything reported.
Q: I just bought a 2002 honda civic and i was wondering what i can do to take it faster?
I am looking to boost the power on my 2002 civic. what can i do and where can i get the best deals?
A: you could get an adjustable muffler/tailpipe. you can adjust it to let more or less airflow in, thus increasing/decreasing torque and horsepower in the engine
Q: Is better to buy a brand new Kia Rio under warranty or buy a 1998-2002 Honda Civic with 80,000-100,000 miles?
A: And the answer is….a 10-20000 mile used car coming out of fleet service, these cars are eligible for manufacturers service contracts which always use NEW parts to cover any service claim, not used or rebuilt—-CARMAX service policy, and most other non factory.
You should find a very fuel efficient dependable car, might have to search a bit for an import since most do business with U.S. manufacturers, but regard less the best buy
Q: How to buy a Honda Civic Type R in the USA?
I would like to know how to buy a 2002~2005 Honda Civic Type R (RHD NOT LHD I would just get a SI and K20 swap it if I wanted a LHD).
Were to buy in the USA or how to import one.
Allso if you know a price range.
Thanks
A: I’d rather take the LHD K20 swap, bot that’s just me. I tried japaneseusedcars.com, and the cheapest RHD Type R was 1,450,000 yen, which is approx. 12,378.10 USD. So, it’s your choice. Me, I like this one. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Civic-JDM-97-CIVIC-HATCH-TYPE-R-MOTOR-EK-FAST_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6256QQihZ019QQitemZ290044562828QQrdZ1)
Q: How much to put in an AC unit in a Honda civic 2002?
Hi I am planning to buy a honda civic 2002 with 115 miles on it. I like the car but the only issue I have with the car is that it doesnt have an A/C unit. Weird!!!
Now my question is how much does it cost to put in a A/C unit in a Honda civic 2002? whether its even possible/practical? i would really appreciate if anybody could give me an estimate of expenses
A: if buying all the parts new and getting it put on you are looking a about $2,000-$2,500 total cost with labor.
Q: How to program a keyless entry remote for 2002 Honda Civic?
I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic LX. I want to get a key fob for keyless entry. Does the transmitter to use a key fob come standard on this model? And what model key fob would I need? Will it open the trunk/where should I look to see it the car has an actuator for this feature?
Also I went to Lowes to copy the key. They said since it has a chip in it I have to go to the dealer to get a key. I just wanted a copy for the doors, but they said “we’re not allowed.” Where is the cheapest place to get a copy with a chip, or is anyone “allowed” to copy a key with a transponder chip just for doors.
Thank you in advance!!
A: on the 2002 civic the Keyless Entry was standard on the EX model and an available dealer installed option on the LX model. the factory keyless entry could not be installed on the DX model because the DX has manual door locks.
If the car is an LX you need to have the dealer order and install the keyless entry system. (you can install it yourself if you’re comfortable with working on the car and taking the dash panel apart; otherwise, have the dealer do it) The keyless entry includes the transceiver/control unit that is at the heart of the system and the remotes. The control unit plugs into the existing harness or uses a factory ’subharness’ for all the connections. It is a factory accessory that is made for the car and requires no modifications to install. I had one installed on my daughters 2003 LX and you would never know it didn’t come with the car.
On the key issue, the only place you can get the key is at a Honda dealer. The chip will have to be programmed to match the existing key if you want it to start the car. You can have the key duplicated to open the doors without starting the car by taking the key to any local locksmith and having them do it. Most locksmiths and all dealers require proof that you own the car before they will duplicate the key because of liability issues.
hope that answers your questions
Q: What is the best amp to buy ($200-$350) for a 2002 Honda Civic LX coupe?
I installed two after-market pioneer speakers but I dont think my car’s deck can support it so I need to get an amp.
A: it depends on what you will have hooked up to the amp. Most head units can have an amp hooked up to them. If the speakers you bought are midranges or tweeters, you wont need much power. If they are subs, you want to try to match the their power rating to the amp. example: 400w sub—–>300-400w mono amp (both rms), double for 2 speakers
Q: Where can i buy a second hand automatic gearbox for a 2002 honda civic 1.6 executive.?
The automatic gearbox on my Honda civic has gone and i’ve been told that a new one would be £3,000!!! I’ve been trying to find a second hand one for ages and just cant find one – i need your help desperately please!
A: Hi Sugababe. Have you considered a third option? Have your existing gearbox rebuilt. I don’t know where you are, but a couple of links in my area (Manchester) are:-
www.automatictransmissions.co.uk (John Lugo, a long established and well trusted firm, and John himself is a great guy)
www.carvertrnsmission.co.uk (another Manchester based firm, but I believe they do mail order)
Also try Exchange & Mart, Auto Express,Local yellow pages. £3k sounds a hell of a lot of bread to me sunshine.Good luck
Q: I have a 2002 honda civic, trying to buy an exhaust tip. What size should I buy? and what size is the orginal?
A: The size varies by trim line, but the stock tip is fairly small, like 1.5 inches.
Honestly, unless youre going to install an exhaust system, I wouldnt go any bigger than two inches.
Q: What is a fair price for this 2002 Honda Civic?
I am planning on buying a used 2002 Honda Civic LX from a private owner. The car has only had this one owner, and the car has been in one accident where someone rear-ended him. A new bumper was put on the car.
The car has an automatic transmission, power windows and doors, keyless entry, functioning air conditioning and radio, no scratches on the outside. It has about 43,000 miles on it.
The owner is asking for $9200 for the car which is a little more than I would want to spend. Is this a fair price or should the price be lower/higher?
I’ve consulted Kelly Blue Book but would like an educated estimate as well. Please only serious answers!
The car is a dark green and the interior is in great condition – the driver only drove it to a subway stop and back.
Also, I don’t know if this would have an effect on the price, but the car (and me) is located right outside of Boston, Mass.
A: Depands on color condition of tires interior and whether its what you really want around 6500 to 7500 is a fair price in my area for that same vehicle!
Q: Should I buy a cold air intake system for my 2002 Honda Civic Dx or is it better to just buy a better air filt?
Ive been hearing a lot of negative things about installing a new col air intake system on any car and the only time you get the benefit of the extra horse power is if you are racing at 100 miles an hour. so is it better to save the money on the intake system and just buy a really good air filter? Will the air filter improve horse power and gas mileage?
A: You won’t feel any gain, its a small amount of power. A cold air is too much of a hydrolock risk on a DD. Either just change the filter or get a Short-ram.
