Q: how much is the car insurance payment for a used 2002 honda civic lx?
i wanna know how much car insurance payment will it cost me per month at triple A insurance at bakersfield california.
im 17, no accident and ticket records.
A: That depends on alot of things like you age, how many tickets or accidents you have had. Just because two people have the same car don’t mean their insurance will be the same amount

Q: What is the best deal for Extended auto warranty for 90-100k used 2002 Honda Civic and the price I can expect?
Is it cheaper and effective to get warranty through dealer? or online sites, like http://www.warrantydirect.com/. If I bought the vehicle from individual sales (not through dealer) then will it still be cheaper and effective to get warranty through them?
I know that most warranty won’t cover vehicle that has got milage beyond 100k.
A: There are so many ways to go with extended warranties that it is really your decision…benefits offered and prices vary all up and down the scale, so it would be best for you to look at as many as you “want” to, and compare the coverages/restrictions vs. prices…
You might try searching for a warranty comparison site too, I think they are out there in the ether world…
And yes, there are warranties over 100,000 miles, you just have to find them…
Q: How do you program a keyless remote for a 2002 Honda Civic Ex?
we recently got a used 2002 Honda Civic, but it did not come with any keyless entry remotes. we are planning on buying one or two remotes off of ebay, but we are unsure of how to program them and also where the FCC ID is located on the car. we checked on the frame of the driver-side door where there is a manufacturers label and a car information label, but could not find it. does anybody know how to program a 2002 Honda Civic keyless entry remote? or where to find the FCC ID on the car?
A: knowshon is right. If the vehicle had the key less entry system at one time it will work, but if the system was never there or if someone removed it , it will not work. If the contorl unit is there u just have to follow that procedure and it will work. Good luck!
Q: What is a fair price for this 2002 Honda Civic?
I am planning on buying a used 2002 Honda Civic LX from a private owner. The car has only had this one owner, and the car has been in one accident where someone rear-ended him. A new bumper was put on the car.
The car has an automatic transmission, power windows and doors, keyless entry, functioning air conditioning and radio, no scratches on the outside. It has about 43,000 miles on it.
The owner is asking for $9200 for the car which is a little more than I would want to spend. Is this a fair price or should the price be lower/higher?
I’ve consulted Kelly Blue Book but would like an educated estimate as well. Please only serious answers!
The car is a dark green and the interior is in great condition – the driver only drove it to a subway stop and back.
Also, I don’t know if this would have an effect on the price, but the car (and me) is located right outside of Boston, Mass.
A: Depands on color condition of tires interior and whether its what you really want around 6500 to 7500 is a fair price in my area for that same vehicle!
Q: How do I shift my 2002 Honda Civic LX properly?
I bought a used 2002 Honda Civic LX and I need to know what RPM’s I should be shifting…It’s not an Si, its has a 1.7 liter engine so im only asking so i can get more fuel effeciency for now…I also need to know what would be the limit to shift at…ive never gone past maybe 4.5K
A: well just do not bring it in the red zone 3 3/4 is a good shifting point to try and get good mileage. plus you can put it in neutral and coast for miles. thats what i do and my toyota gets 550km/per tank.
Q: What size speakers does a Honda Civic coupe 2002 use?

not too sure on this
Q: Should I buy this used car?? 2002 Honda Civic EX?
2002 Honda Civic EX with 47,000 miles
Automatic
Originally the price was listed at $12,695
Now they are asking $11,700
Is this a fair price for the car?
2002 Honda Civic EX
4 door Sedan
47,000 miles
sunroof, CD player, power windows/locks
The dealer price was $12,700
They came down to $11,700
I had a mechanic check it out and he said it runs well
There was only one previous owner. Judging by the years and mileage I think it was mostly city miles put on the car
Is this a good deal??
A: To me the price is too high, If you are in the market for used car, I would do research on line and then buy it from a company that will give you an extended warranty, That car is already 5 tears old and out of warranty.
Go to carmax.com and look at their prices. than you will know id you are getting a good deal.
Good Luck
Q: blue light/LED flashing in honda civic 2002 hx?
I just bought a used 2002 honda civic hx, it has a blue LED that keeps flashing when I turned off the engine, the blue LED is on the left side of the dashboard, next to the “cruise” button. What the hell does the flashing mean? Also, the “coinbox” is broken, what is the coinbox for anyways? Is a broken coinbox an indicator that the car is stolen? Thank you so much.
A: I believe it is the security indicator.
Q: How can I get a replacement key for 2002 Honda Civic?
I have lost the one and only key that came with our used Honda Civic. I have read that the key will need to made by a dealership since it has a chip in it. Will the car need to be present to make a new copy of the key or can they make a copy with just the VIN? I would rather not pay to have it towed to the dealer.
A: if your 02 civic has the immobilizer system (and it probably does), then your keys have a chip in them, and your car has a receiver in it.
if you want a new key, you have two options.
1) get a copy made of your current key, and have the chip in the copy matched to the chip in your existing key.
or
2) have a new key cut for your car, and have the car re-programmed to recognize the new key.
since you don’t have any keys to copy, you’ll have to take your car to the dealer. the dealer can cut you a new key off the VIN, and they can program your car to recognize it.
it is possible to start a newer honda with an properly cut but unrecognized key, but there is a specific set of instructions involving the brake pedal to allow the car to start. your local dealer may or may not be willing to give you that info, it can be very difficult to do properly.
Q: how much i sell my used honda civic vtec engine for?
i have a 2002 honda civic vtec engine with about 100,000 miles on it and i would like to sell it on craigslist or something, but i have no idea how much this is worth. any ideas?
A: go on blue book and get the price. Or call a used store and find out how much they sell them for. Then go 200 or 300 lower. Good Luck
Q: Can a 2008 civic honda emblem be used on a 2002 civic?
So, my rear emblem on my 2002 civic coupe was stolen and I was looking for replacements. The only replacements I can seem to find are the new generation 2007-2008 model emblems or really old ones for EG6 or EK. I was wondering if I could just use the 2008 emblems since the rear of the new civic sedan looked like the same slope and curvature of my car.
A: no
Q: 14″ rims on 2002 Honda Civic EX?
I recently bought a used 2002 Honda Civic EX, and just found out that I have 14″ wheels on it, where the manufacturer calls for 15″ (it’s written on the inside of the front door). I want to find out if having smaller rims than what the car is built for is dangerous or can cause damage, or is it common pracitice to have 14″ rims on a car that call for 15″ (the car dealer said that it is common to have smaller rims, which I find hard to believe).
thanks for any help,
Y
A: With smaller rims you have less ground clearance.
but wait if you have high profile tires then the it should be ok.
but its always recommended to have the right tire size.
since its a used car i’ll tell ya exactly what must have happened.
the dealer must have bought it at an auction and it must have had its tires worn out and would have had nice alloys.
so the dealer to make little profit would have sold the original honda alloy rims to some to make $$$
and then gone to junkyard picked up the 5 lug or 4lug whatever tires from there for very less bucks and put em on.
maybe since the tires are new you wont find a difference
so now you know what you have to do.
take it to a proper mech, get em balanced and ask him if you need to change the wheels
Q: 2002 honda civic lx 1.7 lt engine replacement?
1> I am going to replace my honda civic engine. What years of engine i can use for 2002 civic? 2001 to 2004? It gives me more option while shopping.
2> How difficult it will be using haynes repair manual to swap engine. Something that can be done by ourself? Is there lot of technical stuff i will have to know to get it working.
What i am planning is i will buy enigne from junk yard and swap it my self. Get it working. And then take it to mechanic for fine tuning.
A: The interchange is 2001 through 2005 DX or LX type.Changing a front wheel drive engine is not the type of job to undertake at home.Any good shop can find a good used engine for that car.Make sure you get at least a 90 day warranty.I have a good used engine for your car,our yard is in Houston. You can find one locally on car-part.com…search by distanceIf you’re in the Houston area, post back here…we can even do the installation.
