Q: Honda Civic???
Im 15 years old, i have a 2001 VW jetta, i want to sell the jetta and buy a 98-00 Honda Civic manual trasnmition. I want to tune it up with a nice body kit, muffler tip and spoiler. Do yall think its a good idea, or should i buy another type of car that goes fast?
Or what other car is good to customize, somthing not more than $18,000

A: wow u gota big budget…ur set..u tryin 2 go big get urself a 99-00 SI and with the rest of da money tune it…dat b16a2 will go far with some money invested…or get urself a 91-95 ex nd swap da d16z6 with any b series…make sure it has vtec..and it fits the bay without 2 much modifications…and ur set…and w.e u have left…get more performance parts..u dun really need a spoiler and a big muffler tip unless u want it…many people mite call u a “ricer’ for having such mods..so thats all up 2 u

Q: honda civic?
iight guys this is the whole thing i gotta honda civic 95 and its automatic, how much would i need to convert it to a stick shift??? or is there a shop that i can have it done?????

A: no it does not go to another place to answer ?’s it will cost as much as the junkyard will sell it for no more then 700 the only thing is you will need to buy a new clutch i would not get it from a junkyard everything bolts right up except the shift linkage you will need to drill 2 holes on the bottom of the car after you take the auto assembly out but other than that your good the 92-95 civics should already have the bracket there for the clutch pedal so good luck

Q: honda Civic?
Is their any way to make my 2001 honda civic go faster without having to buy parts?

A: take out the passenger seats… and dont put anything in the trunk… This will make your car lighter… which makes it faster.

Q: Honda civic?
Does anyone know when you should replace shocks on a 2000 Honda Civic?

A: They don’t have shocks, they have struts and they last a long time. Check them by driving down the street and see if it bounces as you drive if not then don’t worry about them. If you look under the car at the strut (inside the big spring) and see any fluid running down the strut then they are leaking and have to be changed

Q: Will my little Honda Civic make it from the Midwest to Washington?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic and am planning a move from St Louis to Washington next month. I would like to just take my car and some belongings, but I worry about the car making it through the mountains. Any thoughts?

A: it should make it as long as its been looked after and has decent tyres.
if you are really nervous about it do some checks on it like check the oil and water levels.
if you dont know much about cars ask a mechanic to do the checks first before setting off.

Q: I have an 89 honda civic and I need to convert the injectors from 2 to 4, How can i do it?
I have a 89 honda civic and I bought a vtech engine that came from 94 civic. The 89 civic is 2 injectors and the 94 civic is 4 injectors. What do I have to buy, and how do i Install it in order to convert it from 2 to 4 injectors?

A: I dont remember hondas having 2 injectors or throttlebody injection. but I’ll try to work with the info you gave me. YOu will need the entire engine wiring harness and the computer to run the 4 injectors. step by step intructions are too complicated to put here. You could have picked an easier project like building a bridge to hawaii. I think you got in a little too deep

Q: Why wont my 1989 Honda Civic start without rolling down a hill to pop the clutch?
My 1989 Honda Civic will not start without rolling down a hill to pop the clutch. I thought it might be the battery, but once I chnaged it, the car did the same thing. Does that mean the clutch has gone bad or is it something else?

A: It could be anything except what you mentioned. Obviously, the clutch and transmission and engine is working great.

Could be just about anything in the charging/starting system. Starter, battery, alternator, switches, or other things. I’d start simple. If you “jump start” the car, does that work? I’d try that and if it works you know the starter and switch is good. If you can’t jump start it then it’s the starter/solenoid, (probably) or maybe a bad wire or switch.
If it does start when “jumped” then I’d suspect the battery. The alternator is a possibility, but you said you charged the battery, so if it was a bad alternator, (causing the battery to go flat due to lack of charging current) then charging the battery would have fixed it temporarily. So that would leave the battery. Even though you applied a charge to it, that doesn’t mean it did charge up. In fact, that’s the definition of a bad battery.
I’ve heard of other more esoteric problems such as faulty switches in the transmission or things like that, so if all the obvious things check out OK then you have to start digging. Good luck

Q: How long did your Honda Civic last before having major problems?
How long (in both miles AND years) did your Honda Civic last, before having major mechanical problems? Please also indicate whether you live in a snowy area or in a place like California where the conditions favor car longevity.

A: we have a 2001 accord (basically the same as a civic) and it has 185,000 miles and counting. there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with it. we live in michigan (snow land). i’d drive it to south america tomorrow if needed. it’s been such a good car to us.

Q: Is it honda civic model changing in 2009?
Please somebody let me know weather honda civic model is going to change in UAE in 2009.Cozzz am planning to go for HONDA CIVIC.

A: Umm…car manufacturers (actually most major manufacturers of any technological product) continuously update and release new models/upgrades each year so whatever you do, there’s bound to be new stuff released all the time.

Q: How far can a Honda Civic and a Prius go on Electric mode?
How many miles can a Honda Civic and a Prius go when the battery is fully charged. (civic hybrid and prius hybrid car)

A: Hi,

stay with me and I’ll give you the full answer.

Actually, both vehicles are “full hybrids” meaning they can run under electric-only mode for short distances at low speeds.

The Civic was just upgraded to a full hybrid in 2006, but the Prius has always been a full hybrid.

The Prius system will take you further, up to 25 miles in stop and go traffic, with the regenerative braking system. And the Prius will go faster, up to 25 mph, with careful acceleration.

The Civic system is not able to do either of those marks. It uses Honda’s hybrid system called the “Integrated Motor Assist” and it’s mostly designed to boost the gas engine, not run on electric mode for any length of time.

Essentially, you have two different vehicles. The Prius is a mid-sized sedan that is more equal to a Camry or Accord for features, technology, price, and comfort. The Civic is a compact and is on the same level as a Corolla for features, tech (excluding the IMA), price and comfort.

Not to say either is better than the other for what they do. They are just different, just as the Civic is to the Accord or the Corolla is to the Prius.

One last note, Prius sold in Europe and Asia come with an “EV” mode button. Pressing that button disables the gas engine for city driving. That is where the 25 mph/25 miles distance come into play.

We don’t have that ability here in the US because our driving conditions are too different from theirs to justify having it here. Basically, we drive longer distances in our urban environments and Americans drive faster over those long distances and would overcome the EV mode too easily. (We also don’t get the auto parking option that the Prius’ over there have (similar system on Lexus GS here in the US) because thier parking is so much tighter there on average.)

The Civic isn’t available with an EV mode at all, here or there.

BTW, to answer the previous post…

Computer system updates / changes / etc. for the Prius are covered by Toyota during the 8 year or 100,000 mile warranty period. And a safe bet would be that Toyota would update your Prius any time an update would be needed after that.

Every manufacturer has computer upgrades, even Volkswagen.

And as far as less parts go, Prius have no throttle cables (electronic acceleration), no steering pumps or steering belts (electronic steering), no starters, no alternators, no distributors, each cylinder is individually controlled with it’s own fuel injector, a sealed CVT so no regular transmission, and with the regenerative barking system, you should never have to replace the brake pads because the generator does almost all of your braking.

Anyway, if you’d like any more details, read my other posts or contact me.

Q: What other engines would fit my 2000 honda civic if i wanted to engine swap?
Hi i am looking to engine swap my 2000 honda civic (coupe) and don’t know what other engines fit its body. Like what engines from other stock cars and/or and turbo or improved engines made for the civic are there?
thanks.

A: Any engine will fit any car. i have seen a CRX (really small honda) with a V8 in it. it was a beast. i would go with the K20 as well or second choice a B18, or H22. all three are great engines.

Q: What is the difference between a Honda civic and Honda Prelude? What’s better for upgrading for performance?
I love both the Honda Prelude and Civic hb and plan on getting one of the two soon. I want to have a car that has a lot of options as far as upgrading the performance of the car. Which car would be better for that? I preferably want to stay with Honda, but are there any other cars that are specifically good for what I want that may not be Honda?

A: i would say honda civic. the prelude is more powerfull but kinda heavy. consider also the acura integra..lol, i mean RSX. honda has a huge following, so aftermarket will always be available….search websites to see how much modifications will cost for each car. that might help you decide which is more bang for the buck. also, keep in mind that the accord had a larger engine, but the v6 only came with an automatic.

Q: Is it possible to convert my Honda civic by using an electric forklift motor?
I have heard recently that it was possible to convert my Honda Civic by taking out the traditional gas engine and replacing it with an electric motor from a forklift. Ever hear of someone actually doing this? Typical cost? What level of expertise do you need?

A: Given the extreme labor and cost, plus the size of the battery, forget it. Too many factors to consider, like what gear ratio, how to transmit power to the rear or front wheels, where to place the large batteries, and just how many miles would a charge provide?
Taking the drive train out of ther fork lift would be fine, if 5mph or less would satisfy your needs. In that case, just remodel the fork lift and forget the conversion.

Q: Honda Civic Door Gasket Starting to Fall off. How can I BEST stick it back on?
Hello,
I have a 2001 Honda Civic LX 2-Door. The passenger side door gasket is falling off. It dangles and gets caught in the door. Some moisture gets in and also there is a wind noise issue on the expressway. Anyhow, could someone recommend a good adhesive and technique to get the gasket fully back on the door? Pro and expert answers only please; I could think of paste, superglue, etc on my own. Thanks for your help!

A: Use 3M weather strip adhesive. It is great stuff.

Q: What size rims did the 1995 honda civic ex come with?
I bought a 1995 honda civic ex with aftermarket rims, and I’m looking for a factory set of rims but don’t know what size they came with.
I have tried 13in but it’s to small, it doesn’t get pass the brake caliper.

A: The ‘95 Civic EX came with 14″ rims and a tire size of 175/65-14 (sedan) or 185/60-14 (coupe).

Q: What is the best model for a used Honda Civic?
I am interested in getting a Honda Civic coupe. I was wondering what is the best model and year for the honda civic? I want it to be used since this is my first car. I was thinking about getting a 1999-2005 civic.

A: man i would tell you the Em1 or Ek’s parts are cheaper , if your wanting to modify is also cheaper then the Ep3’s and the F’s .. i would recommend an Em1 (Si) , hard to find but if you cant find you you can always go with an ek (lx)..as what year you choose comes the pros and cons, pros–cheaper parts , easier work, cheaper labor, cons, attracts more attentions to thieves , easier to steal if a good alarm system is not invested on it, there is so many things you wanna consider. i own an Em1 thats street tuned, and very well taken care of and its theft proof :) .. you can take it as far as you want

Q: What is the market price of a used honda civic LX 06?
What is the market price of a used honda civic LX 06? I know Kelly Blue Book is one way to check it, but is there other ways?
Anyone bought a used honda before and can give me some ideas?
Btw, is KBB accrate enough? Coz based on my research, KBB seems to have overstated the value of cars.
Any opinion would be appreciated! Thank you!

A: where did you do research on kbb?

A: If you are willing to spend 12k for a used car you might as well spend a little more for a new car with the things you are looking for.

Q: Where can i buy a used honda civic in los angeles?

Q: What kind of used Honda Civic Sedan could I get for 4-5K?
Hi,

I’m looking for a Honda Civic Sedan for 4-5K from a dealer. For those of you out there familiar with these cars, what kind of year/mileage should I look for? I only use a car for light errands (drive only about 2k miles a year) but I would like something reliable enough to get on the highway with. BTW I do have a trade in (‘99 Sebring convertible) but I don’t expect much for it.

A: You could get a 96-00 EX sedan for your price range. The miles is going to be a bit over 100k miles of course. I got my 1999 civic ex sedan with 68k mile for 6900. Good luck

Q: How do I maintain a used 97 Honda Civic?
I just purchased a used certified Honda civic from the Honda dealership in Atlanta, Georgia. I am moving to New York and just have basic questions on how to maintain a used Honda so that it can last a couple of years longer.

Thanks in advance

A: http://www.hondabeat.com/maintenance.php

Q: How much do u think i can buy a used honda civic?
Used 98, 99, 2000 model honda civic SI for?
or a EX.
2 door also
STick transmission

A: $1,500-$4,000 depending on condition

Q: should i buy a used honda civic or a brand new one?
i am want to buy a Honda civic and i just wanted to know what should i buy a brand new civic or a used one 06,07 or a new one. which is a b better deal and how much should i spend on it.

A: I would say that all depends on what you can find for a used Civic. The good thing about honda is they have a very high resale value so unless you can find something used thats at least $3000 under book price I say just go for a new one. Also when you figure that loan rates are almost always lower on new cars, it can be cheaper to buy a new car after you figure in financing charges.

Q: Questions about my used honda civic 2006?
I’ve purchased a used civic 2006 and it makes a loud whirling noise or I guess spinning noise. What could this be?? I’ve been looking around on the internet and noticed that the civic 06 had a recall on a bearing??? Would this recall apply to me if the previous owner did not get it taken care of?

A: If you are hearing a grinding noise, the recall would most likely apply to you.
You will still (probably) be able to get the bearing replaced at your dealer for free.
If you can’t, I suggest new wheel bearings from http://mibearings.com
Good Luck!

Q: where is it best to buy a used honda civic?
ok so im soon to buy a used honda civic i have a budget of $6000-$7000 what year do you think i can find and should i look at a honda dealership or just a used car place. which one will give me the best buy?
thanks :)
also is there any year i shold stay away from

A: I’m quite familiar with Hondas. In that price range, you are looking at a 2000 Civic model for about 6k or a 2001 model for about 7k. That is a fair price. You could probably even talk a private party down a little, but make sure you get it checked at a dealership before you buy. I wouldn’t get one with over about 80,000 miles on it. Civics are so common, that you can get a low mileage one. Don’t let someone talk you into paying full price for a high mileage car. Keep in mind that Honda changed the Civic body style in 2001, so it might be your benefit to go with an ‘01 as opposed to a ‘00, because it is the newer model. People will see it as a newer, more desireable car. Check out both though, because you may actually prefer the look of the ‘00 body style. In ‘00, Honda came out with a real nice looking SI model, most were in a snazzy blue or red color. They are hard to find and command a little more money though. As for Honda dealerships, they would be the best as far as knowing they thoroughly checked and maintained the car, but they will try to stick the price to you. It’s great if you can get a fair price. If their cars are not flying off the lot, they may accept the prices I quoted above. It is not what I would consider a good or bad deal, so it would be fair if you could get one there for that kind of price. As for independent dealers, make sure it’s reputable and does not deal with salvaged cars or other junkers. Given the age of the car, it is common for them to end up at an independent lot, because most dealerships just wholesale those cars. But some independent dealers pick up the cheapest thing they can get and not do a thing to it, but still jack up the price. Other independent dealers just get low cost, quality, trade in cars & check them out. I would take it to a Honda dealership for an inspection just like you would with a private party. Online, you can check autotrader.com. They are my favorite. You can put in lots of search criteria. Remember, most people will put a higher price than what they will accept, so you can put a broader price range in as a search. Independent dealers list there, too. Check your local paper, and check your local Honda dealership. Let me know if you have more questions. Also, if you like the Civic, you’ll love the Prelude. You could probably get a ‘00 model or so around your price range. They are awesome, I had one. Good luck.

Q: Buying a used Honda Civic with 100k miles on it?
So I need a car for my commute to class (about 15 miles each way) and was looking at buying a used Honda Civic. I need something that will be reliable since obviously I can’t miss class, especially in the compacted summer classes. I also need something that will last for a fairly long time. Will I be able to get a Civic with 100k miles on it and drive it to 200k miles with little problem? My budget is around 5-6k

A: No, if you buy a car with 100k miles on it you’re dumb cars aren’t made to last long after 100k

Don’t pay attention to that last guy he’s a dunce, 400k miles ?
are you kidding ?

Q: Looking at a used Honda civic Si
I’m looking to buy a car and I found a used 07 Honda Civic Si. The car looks to be in great shape, the only drawback is that it has around 38,000 miles on it. They are asking 19,625 for it. Since it has so many miles on it, is it worth it? I’m not very familiar with the Si’s.

Thanks!
Yes, I know how to drive stick. My current car, 99 accord is a stick shift. I want another manual.

A: Not worth it. you can walk off a lot with a BRAND NEW SI, for $19K out the door (if you know how to bargain, put down a good cash downpayment and have a good interest rate). We just negotiated for a 07 SI for $16 K with only 10K miles on it.

38K on a year old car? that’s way too much traveling in that car. The average American travels about 12K – 15 K per year.

Hope you know how to drive stick. <--- should have put a =) .. I figured you know how to drive a stick..its was a rhetorical question. ^_^

Q: how much i sell my used honda civic vtec engine for?
i have a 2002 honda civic vtec engine with about 100,000 miles on it and i would like to sell it on craigslist or something, but i have no idea how much this is worth. any ideas?

A: go on blue book and get the price. Or call a used store and find out how much they sell them for. Then go 200 or 300 lower. Good Luck

Q: On average, is a used Honda civic more or less expensive than a used Volkswagen beetle?
Can you also give me the benefits of each and the estimated price of each used car? Thanks :)
For the 2008 volkwagon beetle and 2008 Honda civic

A: On average?

What years?

A 1980 Civic compared to a 1971 Beetle?

A 2008 Civic compared to a 2008 Beetle?

1995 Civic vs 1940 Beetle?

You can’t ask for an average on something that has hundreds of variables.

As far as used prices, you didn’t specify years, trim, or anything else.

Making your question completely vague and pointless.

Q: I much should I look to pay for a 2009 used Honda civic EX?
I’m looking to buy a new car this spring once I graduate college, and I want a 2009 or 2010 Honda Civic Ex (used). How much should I expect to pay for one with 20,000 miles that is reasonable? My assumption would be around $18,000-$18,500.

A: Ya 18,000 or 18,500 is what some 08 were running when I recently bought my civic ex. I just bought an 08 ex for 15,300 last month the sticker price was 18,100 but I talked them down cause dealers always try and get you. When looking at honda dealers and your getting ready to go through the paperwork/ contract do not let them talk you into buying Gap coverage or the extended warranty. I have Mercury insurance and got an extended warranty for 100,000 miles or 6 years for like $300.00 bucks and the dealer was trying to sell it to me for 1,500.00 and they also try and tack on the Gap coverage for another 1.400.00 that coverage is in case of a total loss they will pay out the remainder of the loan if your upside down on it. It too can be purchased for way less from your insurance company just call and ask them. They will also add on another 1,000 to 1,300 to activate the KARR alarm I did it just cause my last honda was stolen and I don’t need to deal with that crap again its an expensive ass alarm but im my eyes worth it just so im not always paranoid someone will steal my car or break in Good luck and bring someone who is a good negotiater like your hubby or dad my boyfriend was my negotiater lol

Q: Honda Civic for sale, is it a good deal?
I am thinking about buying a 1990 honda civicwith 150000 miles on it v4 automatic for $1500.

Is it a good deal? it does have alot of miles on it, but I know that hondas last a little bit longer usually
It is is good condition, it has a body kit on it

A: This really depends on the trim level (ie: DX, LX, EX) also it will depend on the maintainance records. Hondas are very well know for being dependable and lasting for many many miles so this may be a great deal. Before anything, ask to take the vehicle to a Honda dealer service department and perform a 27 point inspection which comes free with an $19.99 oil change and have the technician inspect the brakes, spark plugs, transmission, Boots, suspension etc… If it comes clean you have a great deal, If not, then you lost $19.99 but at least you aren’t spending a fortune on repairs. Good luck!

Q: Will 95 honda civic parts fit on a 98 honda civic?
My 1998 honda civic got hit it the rear it will need a new trunk lid and a rear quarter panel mainly. Maybe a few other things, but thats all im interested in. I found a wrecked 95 honda civic for sale that has all the parts i will need on it, but before I buy it I want to know if those parts would fit my car. They are both a honda civic ex 4 door. Appreciate all help givin.

A: I do not believe it will because it is a different generation.

96-00 Honda Civics are universal to each other, whereas 92-95 Honda Civics are not.

Q: For Sale.. 99 honda Civic Ex Coupe…??
I’m trying to sell my honda but not really sure what a good price is. I looked on Kelly Blue Book and these are the prices they gave me.

Excellent: $5,995
Good: $5,455
Fair: $4,760

Its a 1999 Honda Civic Ex Coupe with 112,500 miles. In really good condition. I’ve had it for 2 years. The only problem I had was when I 1st bought it, I had to fix something to do with a “slave drive/cylinder”(???). I duno if thats what its called. but I got that fixed and haven’t had any problems since. It’s been well maintained and kept up. No major blemishes or anything like that. Only a few scratches but they could probably be buffed out. Overall it’s a really good dependable car. Gas mileage isn’t bad either!

So how much would u pay for it?? Are the prices they gave me realistic or no?? (1st time seller)

A: That many miles is nothing, Hondas routinely go 250,000 and more.
My ‘85 Honda has well over 200,000 miles and still doesnt burn oil, runs fantastic.
I just paid $4000.00 for a ‘95 Accord and that was after looking at a lot of cars.
Watch your local papers, see what they are advertised for.
I dont think $5,200.00 would be too much to ask, and plan on coming down a bit, nobody pays asking price for a car so set your price a bit high LOL.
The slave cylinder has to do with the clutch actuating mechanism, no big deal there.
p.s., ummmm Hondas ARE made in America unless they closed their plants.
Good Luck!

Q: Any 91-93 Honda Civic Hatchs For Sale In Northern California?

A: Yes

Q: When will Paramore/Tegan and Sara Honda Civic Tour tickets be on sale to the general public?
I can’t find any information on ticket release dates. I did see though, that the tickets went on sale today for fan club members. The Honda Civic Tour website has no information on tour dates or ticket information. I know they are coming to my town on August 3rd, but I want to buy tickets ASAP! Thanks!!

A: March 27 for that date

Q: Does anybody have a 1993 Honda civic, Four door for Sale.?
Thats in Good Condition, engine runs great, and makes no noise anywhere. I have a 1993 Honda Civic, two door, Great condition, runs great, white, no AC, but the inside is a bit destroyed with the fabric on the roof. I take good care of it. I just need a four door. Is anybody willing to sale me a Honda Civic ‘93 Four door, any color?

A: check out www.Autotrader.com

Q: does anyone know why there are so many new used honda civic si for sale ????
im trying to find out if theres anything i should know about them or why there are tons of them that are around 2006-2008 year that are for sale??

A: I don’t know. I couldn’t find any so I bought a new 2007 FIT. It is cute but really not enough car and doesn’t get anywhere the gas mileage they promised. I can’t wait to unload it and get something bigger than a lawnmower. I will never buy Honda again.

Q: A honda civic accord is on sale for a good price but it overheats, is overheating fixable?

A: Over heating is fixable, but correcting the over heating can range from simply replacing a very inexpensive part to a major engine repair. You need to find out the cause of the problem before deciding if this car is really a bargain.

Q: Does anyone have a used honda civic for sale, under $3,000 around Ontario, CA?
has to be in good condition and automatic

A: This is a place to ask, or answer questions about cars, not a place to put your free “I want to buy” ad. Please follow the rules, found here: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines.php

Thank you.

Q: Honda Civic question?
Where can i find a old used Honda civic for sale? It dont even need to run just need one for a few hundred dollards

A: were in a recession buy a ford

Q: Looking for used Honda Civic will pay cash!!?
I live in San Jose, Ca and I am looking for a used Honda Civic or Prelude or Accord. Must be 2 door (coupe), with moonroof, all power windows, locks, air conditioning, cruise control, tinted windows, low miles, V6 engine would be nice, maybe white in color or red or silver, automatic would be nice too. Nothing older than 1998. I have $8,000.00 cash in hand! Please answer if you have knowledge of such a vehicle for sale.

A: Well try Yahoo Autos. They will have all sorts of cars that fit your need in your area. They show you pics of the interior, exterior etc. I hope this helps

Q: Why cant i find any used 04 Honda Civic Hybrid ‘ s?
I live in Raleigh NC.
I cant find any used 04 Hybrid Civics for sale…as if they dont exist.
But a lot of people have them.
Anybody knows how to get it?
All the locall private parties and dilers dont have them, or as far as i know they dont.

PS: im not talking about the new 08’s

A: Probably because people who own them don’t want to sell them and people who want them find them before you do (supply and demand).

Q: What is the best deal for Extended auto warranty for 90-100k used 2002 Honda Civic and the price I can expect?
Is it cheaper and effective to get warranty through dealer? or online sites, like http://www.warrantydirect.com/. If I bought the vehicle from individual sales (not through dealer) then will it still be cheaper and effective to get warranty through them?

I know that most warranty won’t cover vehicle that has got milage beyond 100k.

A: There are so many ways to go with extended warranties that it is really your decision…benefits offered and prices vary all up and down the scale, so it would be best for you to look at as many as you “want” to, and compare the coverages/restrictions vs. prices…

You might try searching for a warranty comparison site too, I think they are out there in the ether world…

And yes, there are warranties over 100,000 miles, you just have to find them…

Q: i am petite (5 Foot) and i have found a Honda Civic for sale…?
would be comfotable driving it?
i am more used to driving corsa. i am thinking of the civic now but its a bigger car and im thinking if i can adjust to it?

A: I have a Honda Civic and I love it! You can adjust the seats, the steering wheel, and the head rest. My Honda is good on gas and an excellent car for traveling.

Q: Is $4,450 a fair price for a 2000 Honda Civic DX Hatchback with 115,000 miles?
I recently found a used 2000 Honda Civic DX Hatchback for sale in Northern VA and I’d just like to know if $4,450 is a fair price to pay? Here are some details:

115,000 miles
Automatic 4 cyl
1.6L engine
Cruise control
Alarm system
Sony CD player
Great condition all around

My brother told me that with it being a Honda that even at 115,000 miles it probably still has another 350,000+ miles to go. Does that sound right? I heard people joke about how a used Honda or Toyota with 150,000 miles will last longer and are also better investments than a new Ford/Chevy. Any truth to this? Anyway, I’d appreciate any advice you folks could give me on this.

A: That is a good deal. If you were looking at this car on a carlot here it would be about 6,000. I say go for it and it is a Honda, so you will have many miles if its in as good of shape as it sounds. good luck

Q: Where can I find a cheap hubcap for a 2002 Honda Civic in the Toronto area?
I lost one hubcap on my 2002 Honda Civic. I don’t want to pay $50 for a new one from the dealership. Where can I find used hubcaps for sale? (I need a grey 15″ 7-Spoke hubcap)

A: any auto place.
downtown would be a good place 2 start if u live near there.

Q: Sales Tax on buying a used vehicle from private seller – to high – appeal?
I bought a used honda civic 97 lx. I paid 2400 for it. When I went to the RMV they charged me $165 for the vehicle (so their value would be 3300). The vehicle is definitely not worth 3300. The door is broken. There is rust. And some cosmetic damage.

Anyone to appeal the sales tax? I live in MA.

A: Lots of states are doing this because they have lost out on tax money from people under reporting the value of the cars to pay less sales tax.

visit a few online websites that appraise cars. Try www.edmunds.com, www.cars.com, www.nada.com. Print out their values for your 97 civic. Use poor condition. Also take pictures of the car as well. take one of the VIN number so they know it is the car you bought and not some switcheroo.

Q: Can you order used honda motors from japan?
im thinking about getting a civic. But all the ones i see for sale have quite a bit of miles. how much does it cost to order a used motor from japan?

A: The shipping cost itself to a Japanese port form a US (LA area) port is $1,200 according to Jspec Works web page.
The opposite direction from Japan to US may be similar cost.
And overall order cost (incl. custom clearance etc.) may be around $5,000 in addition to the vehicle price.

I think it is not bat idea to contact the company who work for importing car to US form Japan to get a estimate.

I have used it most days for work and it has never let me down. Cam belt has been changed. There is no problem i know of with the car; the exhaust has just been serviced and i have put a new tyre on. I havent advertised it yet, just seeing if i get a response here!

Q: I want to bragain a used car..?
..This is gonna be my first time dealing at a dealership, there’s this car I saw is a used, 2005 Honda Civic EX 2dr Coupe on sale for $12,988 40,000 miles on it. What do you think it would be a better price for this??..

..I want to pay 8,200-8,500 CASH. Do you think they’ll give it to me?..

A: I would have to say you don’t have a chance. Only if that dealership was doing extremely bad and even then they probably wouldn’t. According to kelly blue book that cars suggested retail is around what they are asking and trade in is probably about 9000. They arn’t going to let it go for for what they got it for even witch cash. I would say $11,000 is a better estimate of what they would go for but by no means am I an expert on the subject. It’s always worth a try. The worst they can say is no.

Q: Looking at a civic, Fusion or mazda 3, please help!!?
hi, i am looking at a few cars for myself and for my parents. They want a car to get me to and from work and when i am not using it they want to use it. They would like to keep the bill around $15k. i have test driven a Ford Fusion, Mazda 3 and a Honda Civic. I was also looking at the Vw jetta 2.0 but for some reason there are none in the northeast so that car is not an option.

Which of the three cars is the most reliable and would be the funnest to drive without giving up comfort. My dad is 6′2” and we normally drive around with 4 people total in the car so we want a comfortable car.

I am confused because they all have good qualities and the prices are darn near the same, so i dont know what to do. Thanks for any help.

I was going to buy new but i did Find one honda that was used for sale near me. It is a 2006 Honda Civic Lx auto, excellent condition, power everything. The only negative is it has 38k on it. The owner (a women) drives it 90miles round trip a day. Help appriciated
i don’t really want a diesel car as the price to fix them is slightly higher and starting them in the winter by me is a real pain. I think Vw is going to be a touch more on the expensive side also.

A: WHY did you not look at the Jetta TDi or even the Golf which is on the same platform.???

Read this article on them!!

I have a 2006 Honda Civic Ex which is stock right now. I’m having a hard time looking at the stock stuff that can be changed out. I need to know when are they going to come out with parts.

A: it usually takes 8 months to a year for aftermarket suppliers to devoleop and manufacture parts on a new year.

Q: whats the best website to buy honda civic parts?
i have a 99 honda civic si shell that i have as my project its missing hood, front and back bumpers, seats, etc. what website can i go to get some original/custom parts for a good price?

A: Well I got on the website,
www.procivic.com
They have pretty much everything for Civics.

Q: what is the cheapest place to get honda civic parts?
I have have a 97 civic and it needs some work, airbags, carpet, and stuff under the hood. where is the cheapest place to get these parts, I thought about a junk yard but don’t know if they would have a 97 civic and the exact parts I needed.

A: I suggest eBay but also http://AndysAutoSport.com if it could work in your budget.

Q: What’s a good site or place to guy honda civic parts like headlights?
I’m looking for some new headlights and a grill for my civic (97 hatch) but I can’t find any good sites online .

Can anyone suggest me good sites or places?

Q: What sites are there to buy original honda civic parts that are afforable in florida?

A: Hi Miss try accessing the website to the following sites,www.honda.com/parts another site is E Bay look and scrool their entire website, then finally try a car forum with members that get questions answered on the many tips/topics that cater to your automotive needs I’m sure that you’ll find many Honda owners there, just ask them.

Q: What should be the cost on average to replace an engine in a Honda civic (parts and labor)?

A: Well, Nicole, this would obviously depend on the age of the car. I own a 1987 Civic, and if I were to replace the engine in that one, it would run me about 750 dollars for a rebuilt motor. Now, if you own a much newer one, say less than ten years old, I would guess it would run you about 2500 bucks for a rebuild. If you bought a brand new engine, then you could exceed the worth of the car. Peace, Pretty Lady!

Q: What company is good for Honda civic performance parts?
BTW for a 1997 Honda Civic Ex.

A: Well I don’t know what the other two answers are about? For the record you have an EK! And the EX is the best model to work with other then the SI. If you look at EG’s (92-95 Civic Hatch, EJ1 92-95 Civic Coupe) they are the same motor and tranny from the SI Hatch and the EX Coupe, so go figure! As for companys that make performance parts for your car it’s outrageously crazy how many make parts for your car.

Lets start out with the most known. Spoon, Skunk2, Tein for suspension work, Hondata for your ECU or cars computer, AEM, BLOX, Megan, HFP (Honda Factory Performance), And MOST importantly this is the biggest in my opinion, MUGEN.

I guess what it comes down to is what parts you need and who offers the best product for that part at a good price. Lets face it, not everything needs to be name brand for it to due the same thing at the same quality like say, strut bars. They will all due the same function unless they’re really that crappy.

But hopefully this helps and don’t worry about haters! Your car is the best model besides the SI of course. It is wired for Vtec and has all the same amenities of an SI just not the motor an power, but that is easily taken care of! Good luck with your car though!

I have a 2008 honda civic lx and wanted to get a supercharger for it? Can i get a 2008 Honda Civic Si supercharger for it?

Q: Are some parts on a 97 Honda Civic DX interchangeable with other Hondas?
In particular, I need just a few small parts like one of the horn button on the sterring wheel, visor, visor clips, AC register adjustment piece, drink holder cover, and door latch mounting bolts. Can I use parts from any honda civic around this year or even an accord?

A: u can use parts frm a 96-2000 civic..doesnt matter wheather its dx,ex,hx,coupe or hatch.theyre all the same.

Q: were can i buy some performace and other car parts for my honda civic?
okay i have a blue honda civic lx 4d sedan (everything is stock) i have tried to look for some Performance part but cant really find any, i dont think ima do an engine swap but i guess i might if i cant really find any thing

i dont really want to make that much HP only about 200 HP overall would be okay for me

also looking for genuine honda parts

thx

A: The only way for you to get 200hp reliably is to do a engine swap. Your car has 102hp in stock for and is a d15b7 engine, not that much aftermarket support. If you have a 5 spd you could do a h22 swap for around 2500. Motors can be found at hondamotorsonline.com , tiger japanese, passwordjdm.com, jhot , and many other places. Go to honda-tech.com and research

A: I would try eBay Motors if you are looking for a “cheap” Civic. Seller service varies widely amongst the sellers.

You could also look in the local classified ads for old Civics for sale and try to find a nice owner, preferably another woman.

Q: Where can i get a cheap honda civic 2000 turbo or supercharger?

A: hey…for $35 dollars…you could get that cheap as5 supercharger that goes into the intake tube….its there and gives you 5hp…just like getting 5 extra hp from just having the vtec sticker…its a supercharger atleast….lol

Q: Where can I find a dependable 2002 Honda Civic cheap in Florida? It’s going to be a first car for my daughter.?
I am looking for a dependable, cheap, nice running 2002 Honda Civic for my daughter. I have looked just about everywhere, and I can’t find anything. (Atleast nothing worth paying money for.)

A: Check out some used car sites:
www.edmunds.com
www.lotpro.com
www.autotrader.com
Good luck finding a car.

Q: where can i find cheap front struts for 2002 honda civic?
im fixing a car and looking for the cheapest 2002 honda civic front struts… i found them for around 100$ each.. are they cheaper anywhere else.. online stores?

A: Two sites you should check out
Its unusual for struts to blow out on a 5 year old civic. typically they’re good for much longer. usually you’ll have tire cupping as an indication of a bad strut. you can’t see when there is a gas leak from a cartridge but in most cases if the gas leaks out past a seal the oil follows shortly and you’ll find oil leaking from the struts is about the only indication of a ‘bad’ strut other than the tire cupping.

Here are two references for you; I’ve used both and they seem to have the best prices and service levels

autoparts warehouse
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com
they have KYB struts for $87. that brand is one of the best; also available through tire rack

tire rack

http://wwwtirerack.com

Hope that helps

Q: Does anyone know where i can buy an extremely cheap Honda Civic Si?
It doesn’t matter if its salvage or not..i would really appreciate it thank you. =]

A: check www.hondamarketplace.com and autotrader.

Q: Where can i find cheap Honda Civic 15″ Tires?
I’m looking to buy a full set of black tires for around $500 or less.

It doesn’t really matter if the rims are Matte Black or Glossy Black or anything inbetween. Just looking for black ones :) Thanks!
My whole Tire/Wheels are:
P195/65R15 89H M+S

A: TireRack.com has pretty great prices. I get several sets of tires for my Civics because having them shipped and locally mounted is cheaper than buying them at a shop. Depending on what you want, they range from about $50/each and up. Shipping is usually UPS or FedEx and for me shipping four tires was $50. Therefore, you could estimate the total cost of the cheapest set to be about $300. Having your max price of $500 gives you quite a bit of wiggle room there. The M + S in your question most likely means you have an all-season tire on there now. For your purposes (assuming you’re an average driver) you should steer clear of the High Performance/Summer category. Look for a High Performance All Season or any Touring All season. You typically can’t go wrong with the brands they offer. (my last set for my [civic] del Sol was the Sumitomo HTR+ and they have served me well.) Good Luck!

Q: Where can I buy a front passenger side window for a honda civic dx sedan for cheap online?
I am looking for a passenger side front window for my 2000 Honda civic dx sedan for cheap. I have checked the local junkyards and have had no luck.

A: Try ebay motors…

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5574690244&toolid=10001&campid=5336430272&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg

If you don’t already have an ebay account, you should get one – it opens up a whole world of bargains. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a 99% or better rating and over 100 sales. I have never had any problem as long as I have followed those guidelines.
Good luck!

Q: looking for cheap honda civic?
looking for a cheap honda civic for around 400-800

A: Doubt you’re going to find that. Try looking on Craigslist but the cheapest may be 800-1,000 but in crappy condition.

G’luck.

Q: Where can I find a cheap Honda civic for sale near Ontario,CA?

A: Want ads??? Internet classifieds????

Q: What are some sites where I can buy a cheap Honda Civic?
I know craigslist.org
Any others?? thanks

A: http://www.carsala.com

They find the used car you want at dealerships in your area and negotiate the price for you, so you get the best deal without stressing.

Read and learn more about discount Honda Civic. For more, visit the Honda Civic website HondaCivicStation.com

Q: How much discount can I benefit from buying a Honda Civic by the end of the year? ?
I need to sell my car before December, then buy a New Honda Civic, would someone be able to estimate how much discount the dealer would give for most by the end of this year? Any suggestion about which dealer? Do you think the Civic VTI can still be a fashion model for a couple of years till the new model come out?

A: What you should look for is a 2008 model as dealers will want to be getting rid of any ‘last year’ vehicles still kicking around and want to make room for more ‘o9s. The problem with that is there are probably not too many left (Civic is a popular model) and your choices as far as option levels and colours will be limited. You should be able to get at least 15 points off and / or low financing. The Civic was just redesigned so the look will be fresh for a few years yet. Good Luck…

Q: Mavis Discount Tire and can they replace my Honda Civic brakes?
I have to get my brakes replaced on my Honda Civic. Mavis is charging pretty low money ($60), to replace my front brakes. They would use Wagner semi-metallic pads.

Does anyone have any experience with Mavis? Also, does anyone know about the quality of semi-metallic brake pads and how well they work with Honda?

A: I prefer to use the Honda organic pads as the semi metallic are usually hoisy and are too hard and cause the rotors to wear prematurely.

they are just replacing the pads for that price. they are not machining the rotors which is fine if you don’t have any vibration when brakeing. I don’t know who Mavis is but it is a very easy job to do and hard to screw it up.

I would recommend you go with organic pads or ceramics instead of the semi-metallic. I used the semi-metalic on my son’s car and had to replace them after a week because of the noise.

Wagner is a name brand and not anything to worry about.

hope that helps

Q: How much could I expect to get off the list price for a new Honda Civic ES or EX 2.2 cdti.?
What dealers offer the best discounts on new Honda Civics?

A: depends on the dealer and if the dealer has addendums to the sticker.best way to negotiate with new car dealer is an over invoice basis

Q: Can I expect to haggle down the price on a 2007 used Certified Honda Civic EX?
The prices posted online at the dealer web pages don’t seem like that much of a discount compared to the price of a new one. The sticker price of a new 2008 is just over $20,000. One dealership has a 2006 listed on their web site with 20,000 miles for $19,200. What am I missing?? I’m a novice when it comes to buying cars in general.

A: The reason the used car almost touches the price of a brand new one is for a few reasons. One being that it is pre-owned and probably stickered higher than the base of the new model when it was new itself because of options. There are several different models with different engines for the Civic. The second reason the price is high at the dealership is because it is certified by Honda. Honda does a rigorous inspection on their used vehicles before reselling.

To answer the crux of this question: yes, you can always negotiate. Bring in printed copies of blue book quotes and other similarly equipped cars from autotrader.com that are priced less and wave them in their face. Don’t be afraid to walk away if they won’t come down. Most of the time once they see you aren’t afraid to leave they will start negotiating.

Q: What would be the best stereo system for my ‘04 honda civic?
I want color display, someway to play music from my ipod, really crazy bass ( i want the mirrors to shake! hah) am and fm radio, cd player, and reallyyyy good speakers.
any suggestions? i have no idea what to pick. my friend works at best buy so i can get a discount so i’m not too worried about price but nothing over $200

A: a deck, subwoofers, speakers, and iPod capability, and amps for less than $200.00? Then maybe having someone give all the stuff to you would be the best route.

IF you meant $2,000 then ask your friend at Best Buy to recommend something-$2,000 will get you a really sweet system-plus if you pay that much your stereo would likely be worth more than your car-and that’s ALWAYS cool.

Q: Would the purchase price of a Honda civic sedan 2009 model go down during thanksgiving and/or Christmas season?
I will buy the 2009 civic sedan ex automatic. I am just concern with the timing. I was wondering if they will have discounted values on thanksgiving and/or christmas season. Or do you expect purchase price to be lower since market is bad and nobody is willing to buy thus forcing dealers to lower their cost for them to meet their quota? Thanks

A: I don’t expect the price of the Civic to drop in the near future. I know for a fact that Honda is not having trouble selling Civics. My sister just bought a ‘09 Civic EX last month, and their was not much room for negotiation (and we’ve bought 3 other Honda’s from the same guy/dealer). You might get a little bit more off an ‘08 Civic if you buy now, but it won’t be a huge difference. If you’re set on the ‘09 (it’s really nice) then go in and negotiate the heck out of it. The Civic’s sell themselves, but the salespeople want your sale. Good luck!!

Q: New Ford Focus vs Certified Honda Civic?
Hey Everyone,

I am in college and I am looking to buy my first car. I have narrowed it down between two cars… the Ford Focus Sedan and the Honda Civic Sedan. If I get the Focus I can afford to get it brand new with everything I want in it for around 15000 plus a family discount plus they are taking an extra 2500 off. If I get a Honda Civic, I can get what I want (a Honda EX) but it will be a 2003 or a 2004 certified used Honda. I will still have a warranty so that is good but like I said it will not be new, which is not an issue for me.

I guess my question is for a college student, which car would be the better deal based on safety, gas millage, and overall realiability? Everyone tells me that Hondas last FOREVER and as long as you do the standard stuff they run forever. I know that my family has always bought Fords and I dont remember us having major problems. In the end I just want the least problem free car. Thanks everyone!

A: North American cars have come a long way and the Focus is an excellent choice, consider also you getting a full warranty.

Q: Can I expect any big discounts after new year for used honda civic from 2006 ( new shape)?????
I know honda is not (with all the respect) fiat that after one year price for a used car will drop down up to 40 %, but if today i have to pay for 1.4 se civic around 13 000 , how it will be in first part of the 2007??????????????????????

A: the civic is currently available for 13000 but it is difficult to expect the car in the second hand market so soon.. however the price should drop from 13 to say about 9.5(approx) in case you want to go in for a new car then go in the last days of dec to avail a good sum as discount in order to get the stock of 2006 sold out…

Q: how much of a discount do honda employees get on new cars?
say a civic or civic hybrid?

A: Usually import car company employees get their vehicles at dealer cost plus they can also get any national incentives being offered. If a vehicle is in short supply, such as a new hybrid, no discounts may be offered until the supply pipeline is full.

Q: honda civic or ford mustang?
2007 mustang or 2007 honda civic but with the mustang i get a discount beacuse my uncle works for ford wich one would you get?

A: Honda Civic, the money you save with your uncle’s discount you will need for repairs later. I have had 3 civics to date and put over 200K on each of them without a repair bill. Meanwhile watched my friends dump tons of money into their mustangs. And mine with almost 200K is still worth more than theirs with less than half the miles…

Q: Honda Civic, First car for teen?
I am fifteen and will be turning 16 in a month. My parents are purchasing a third car for the family for me to use when I get my drivers license. When my sister gets her license, we will share the car. Anyway, they are going to purchase a 2007 Honda Civic with side curtain airbags. My parents have already laid out the ground rules for me when I get my license (no driving past 10 pm, no more than one friend in the car at a time, absolutely not texting or talking on the phone, etc). I will be responsible for paying for insurance and gas. Anyway, I have two questions. Is a Honda Civic a good car for a teen? Also, will I get a good student discount on my insurance? I have a 4.1 GPA and take all honors classes. Thanks for the help!

A: The Honda Civic is a great first car. They get great gas mileage and are very dependable mechanically. With your GPA you will get the best possible student discount.

Follow the rules and don’t do anything stupid and you will be one of the lucky kids in your school to have a late model car instead of a piece of junk.

Q: Honda Civic 2009 DX A/T with AC price?
I went to the Honda dealer today to test drive a Honda Civic, I tried barging the price of the car, the MSRP is $ 23,707 Canadian they gave me $ 300 discount as a bargain do you think I can ask for more? And how much discount do you think would be acceptable to them? If I say take a 1000 off would that be asking too much? Oh yah I had them print out a quote with the $ 300 reduction should I take that to other dealers and ask for an even bigger discount?

A: Look in and see who can do better. Pit the dealers against each other. They’ll do anything to get rid of the glut of cars they have.

Q: How much should i be paying for this Honda Civic?
I’ve been looking for a Honda Civic and i saw one in a large car retailer where I live.

The car is the 1.4 i-dsi SE+ which has sports kit add on, in silver.

The price in the showroom is £13,490 and even though its a brand new un registered car, its not the recently updated 2009 model which has a new i-vtec engine and slightly re-designed front grill.
I’m trading in a Renault Megane 1.6 which according to the AA’s trade in checker is worth £980.

How much do you think i should be trying to bring the price down to after i’ve traded in my car. Should i ask for more for my trade in or just a straight discount on the new car.
Basically, what’s the lowest I could reasonably get this cost of this car down to?

I dont want to price myself out of the car but i cant really afford it at its list price.

Many thanks

A: If it is the older model you need to get at least 15% off the list price of that car (not the list price of its replacement0 and 20% is nearer the mark.
Your car would be better sold for more money privately. The AA price is fine for a guide but you will find that a large retailer will offer you the bottom price it would go for at auction as they would not be able to sell it on their own forecourt so that is all they would get from a trader who buys older cars.
If you have to trade in then then do not bother distinguishing between the discount and the trade in price. However you look at it or whatever the of the 2 you ask for the dealer, just like you, will be looking at how many ££££ in total you hand over with your car.

Q: Buying honda civic ex 2007?
i live in canada toronto and i want to buy civic ex 2007. If u were to go dealer and i talk with the dealer how much discount can i get? since its almost end of 2007 and is there alot of difference between 2007 and 2008? thx

A: there really isnt any difference between 07 and 08 civic. Both are 8th generation civics and should cost about the same.

Q: Deciding between a Honda Civic Si?
I am leasing a new car this month and I have narrowed it down to a 2008 Saab 9-3 or a 2008 Civic Si sedan. Prices are about the same and I love how both cars drive. The Saab would be a manual transmission with heated leather but no sunroof. The Civic Si would be a sedan with cloth interior but a sunroof. Any thoughts or input at all is greatly appreciated!

Yes Saabs are leasing very well right now! The civic is $275/mo. with $2,000 total down (with tax, title, license/acquisition fee) . The Saab, with their current incentives and my GM discount is at $269/mo. with $2,000 total down. Both prices including tax.

Saab gives free maintenance (oil changes…ect.) worth about $800.00

They both take premium gas. Fuel economy is the same for both cars as well! Difficult decision!

A: The 9-3 is american now and Honda is Japanese…easy choice for me…but i would not lease….buy a honda accord coupe if you can….much better

If I get honda civic LX 2006 coupe then i want to get atomic blue metallic. That light blue is so hot.
But, my friend such told me that light blue is gay color.
Is that true?

You guys really think that color is gay?
If you don’t , I want to buy that color!

Help me guys!!

A: No, light blue is not a gay color. If it were pink then it might be gay, but i even know a couple of dudes with pink cars. No blue is gay. Does the word “metallic” sound gay?

Q: What is the best used car to buy? Honda Civic, Toyota Carolla, Nissan Sentra, Ford Focus?
I’d prefer to buy Ford as my grandfather and uncle worked for there company. I’d like to keep the automotive profits in the US even if the toyota, nissan, and honda plants are here. However, I really like the design and quality of the competitors. Feedback please?

A: I used to drive a focus, and it was a great little car. I had no major problems with it, it was great on gas, it has enough power for a small car (if you get the Zetec engine), and you’re right, keep the profits in this hemisphere.

Q: Is 8500 a good price to buy honda civic?

Q: How to buy a Honda Civic Type R in the USA?
I would like to know how to buy a 2002~2005 Honda Civic Type R (RHD NOT LHD I would just get a SI and K20 swap it if I wanted a LHD).
Were to buy in the USA or how to import one.

Allso if you know a price range.

Thanks

A: I’d rather take the LHD K20 swap, bot that’s just me. I tried japaneseusedcars.com, and the cheapest RHD Type R was 1,450,000 yen, which is approx. 12,378.10 USD. So, it’s your choice. Me, I like this one. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Civic-JDM-97-CIVIC-HATCH-TYPE-R-MOTOR-EK-FAST_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6256QQihZ019QQitemZ290044562828QQrdZ1)

Q: Where can I buy honda civic modification parts in the uk?
I need side skirts, front and back bumpers. i would like to view online or in shop before i buy. where can a wide selection of these in the uk closer to london better?

thanks

A: R-tec, london, is a good one, they keep alot of items in stock, give them a call before, make sure they have what you want. otherwise there aren’t many places that i know of, and i have lived in london for 22 years! essex racing in southend is good, but lack honda parts.

Online is the only place you can really shop for this sort of thing, ebay always works, otherwise just google ”honda body kit UK” or ”UK car accsessories”, or something like that. online will always be cheaper aswell, just make sure that the site has a email, address and phone number, google ”altezza lighting” for a good site, or www.altezzalighting.co.uk for a second, (same site but googling takes you to a sister site) both are excellent

Q: whats the best website to buy honda civic parts?
i have a 99 honda civic si shell that i have as my project its missing hood, front and back bumpers, seats, etc. what website can i go to get some original/custom parts for a good price?

www.procivic.com
They have pretty much everything for Civics.

Q: Can I buy a 2008 Honda Civic Si grill and switch it with an LX version?
So I just bought a 2008 Honda Civic LX but I despise the silver grill cover thing on it, can I buy a Honda Civic Si version where it’s black and put it on there?

A: Yes, take a look here (http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/exterior-style-mods/35976-d-i-y-si-grill-lx-dx-ex-sedan.html).

Q: What Would You Buy?? Honda Civic New Or The Toyota Corolla New?
It’s confusing i love the Honda civic but some people are telling me that the corolla is also nice..

A: I suggest Honda Civic. Although both of them are good car, Honda still have the advantage in terms of styling, fuel economy, reliability, good handling and good engine performance. Honda Civic has a better re sale value if you want to sell it in the future. Hope this might help!

Q: Should I buy a Honda Civic with 120k miles?
Should I buy a Honda Civic with 120k miles if I make sure it is in good mechanical condition? Im just wondering how long it will last me.

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: which one would you buy? honda civic or kia forte?
I am now considering buying my very first car.
my intention is to use it for weekend activities and commute.
and I think both honda civic and kia forte are very attractive.
any opinions are welcome.

A: Civic Si I dont think Kia is a reliable brand like honda has been for years

how bout a scion tc?

Q: Where can I buy a honda civic sun visor?
I need a new or used drivers side sun visor for my 06 civic. I have basically checked every honda parts website and have not found it. I have not tried a dealer (probably too expensive). Has anyone else had a problem with the 06-09 civic visors or how did you get another one?

A: try a junk yard.
they probably have a wrecked one sitting around or can check other junk yards for you

Q: planning to buy honda civic coupe lx auto 2009 for $ 14,000 on road?
planning to buy honda civic coupe lx auto 2009 for $ 14,000 on road (includes taxs and other stuff) ,where can i get for this price in dallas,tx.

A: Get a manual? Go to a dealership, remember they want to sell you a car, no matter what, they want to sell you a car. So bargain with them, don’t just accept the first number he gives you. Don’t be rude or whatever, just get the price as low as you can. =] Good luck.

Q: What type of tires should I buy for Honda Civic EX 2006 ?
I am looking to buy new tires for my Honda Civic EX 2006, went to Firestone and they recomended Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grid BL with Uni-T ($127.00 per tire). I did not see good reviews on these tires as I was reading through some postings on the web……..Is it a good set of tires to buy and if not what other make/brand should I buy. Thanks
Jim

A: You should buy one from BridgeStone. there realy good. I like it.

Q: I just found a 2005 Honda Civic online for $5000 and only 27,000 miles. Does this sound like a legit price?
This is the caption that came with it

“2005 Honda Civic EX Coupe
The car is in excellent, working condition. The engine is smooth and clean like it was a show car. Electrical systems are in perfect working order. Nothing about this vehicle is defective. Overall, this vehicle’s exterior is clean. Clean interior that is in good shape. 75% tread left on these tires

A: Giving you the god honest answer….. SALVAGED TITLE… This vehicle was totaled by accident or vandalism or worst fire, flooding… remember the saying if its too good to be true ….right thats the case here.. pay the money for a carfaxed used or a new car… remember vehicles that have been in accidents like that never truly come back to how they used to ride, reliability becomes an issue and like another person in this thread said,, you lose 50 to 75% of the vehicles value.. Is your life really worth that. This same vehicles airbags might not deploy come another big accident.. just my .02 .. bye

Q: where can I find a downloadable honda civic manual online?

My car’s alternator belt snapped, I’m not sure how to put on a new one and I can’t afford professional service. Where can I find a repair manual for this?

A: http://www.amazon.com/Honda-1984-95-Chiltons-Repair-Manual/dp/0801986834

you can google around for more sources “honda civic chilton’s” … you can also google “replacing alternator belt honda civic” and see what forum entries pop up (don’t use the quotes in the google bar, though) … my bf always seems to find free repair instructions with pictures and all just by googling and reviewing the links …

Q: Can i order a 2004 honda civic white trunk lid online?
Mine was hit and just the trunk lid has to be replaced. I don’t want to order it from the dealer because i would like it already painted. The car is a white 2004 honda civic LX 4 door. Thank you

A: well, the only way to get the trunk lid painted the same color would be to source it from a junked car or log into www.hondacivicforum.com or www.civicforums.com and go to their buy/selling section to see if someone is getting rid of their stock trunk lid.

otherwise, no matter where you go online to buy the lid or the dealer, it will still need to be painted.

Good luck!

Q: 1994 Honda Civic Front End Measurements?
Where can I find the front-end diagonal measurements of a Honda Civic online? A graphic illustrating measurements would be great.
Stifler: The point is, is that its wrecked and I’m going to fix it! haha.

A: If you search the web for, 1994 Honda Civic, You will find several pages about the Civic. You can probably get your answer there. At least you can get a Chilton’s manual which give all the specifications.

Q: I would like to change the brakes on my 2006 honda civic. Any advice or manual stuff online?
It has been a long while since I have changed any brakes on any car and just really want to make sure that I have all the info that I need to change the brakes. It’s not I can go anywhere afterwards. Any info, groups or online manual. Please let me know that would be great. Thanks.

A: You shouldn’t have to change your brakes unless you have A LOT of miles on your car and you can hear a noise from them when you brake. Most of the time you only have to change out the front ones. Because the weight and momentum go forward when you brake. If you do have to change them, I agree go to Autozone and ask them how to change them. They might not have a book on how to fix it though. 2006 is still “newish to have a repair guide on it. Your best bet it to look up the hanes book online.

Q: Where online can I find an affordable catback system for my 2007 Honda Civic DX coupe?
It must be stainless steel, not really obvious tailpipe and good sound. Experienced answers only please.
The primary reason for the catback is to improve performance while not affecting current mpg. I also want the nice sound of an easier breathing system.
The sound I am looking for is the sound similar to the Civic SI, but with more presence. No coffee can sounds please.
One more detail —> Looking for AFFORDABLE and SOUND quality without impacting MPG. Thanks all!

A: Id definetly check out ebay for first. And if you cant find one on there go to
Andysautosport.com

My favorite is GREddy.

Congrats on not throwing a friggin bean can on it! Atleast your going catback.
